Welcome to City Chicks and our Chicken Chatter! In our first weeks of delivering chickens to the backyards of Brisbane we are already hearing stories about how city dwellers are falling in love with our backyard feathered friends!

Chickens & your Garden Beds
You may notice that when your chickens begin free ranging, they will be attracted to garden beds with thick mulch on them. In the minds of your chicken, this means yummy tender new shoots, worms and grubs to gobble!! If you want to protect your garden beds, consider putting some chicken wire or garden nets over them. Otherwise, we recommend only allowing them to free range for a couple of hours in the afternoon so they re more likely to stay near the coop.

What are Feed Packs?
Feeding your chickens does not have to mean going to your pet shop or produce store and buying sacks of grain and egg grit and bales of hay – what a nightmare to lift out, store and clean up afterwards!
